A name, phone number, or address entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider serving that result. Our servers do not retain a copy of those queries. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message and use it to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most hosted services, the site may log an IP address, browser details, requested pages, and timestamps. We review this data in aggregate for security, reliability, and page-use measurement. Cookies or similar tools can support basic analytics and, when used, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
We use limited technical and contact data to run the service, resolve faults, measure traffic, and improve the reference pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Union Residents Directory links to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search services. Information submitted to one of those destinations is governed by that destination’s policy. This includes sponsored results supplied by a third party.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process server logs for the service. Analytics or advertising partners can receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires disclosure and otherwise do not share it.
Data Safeguards
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. Because the site has no visitor accounts, it does not hold a visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor provided information, and we will remove it.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have access, correction, or deletion rights for website-held personal data. The New Jersey Data Privacy Act, P.L. 2023 c.266, is codified at N.J.S.A. 56:8-166.4 et seq. and includes exceptions for publicly available information. Because we keep little visitor data, a request generally involves our contact mailbox and server logs. Use the Contact Us page. Government public records remain under the control of the relevant New Jersey, Union County, or Union Township custodian.
